Full Job Description
We are looking for an experienced and commercially driven Commercial Manager to lead the commercial function within our EST business. This is a pivotal senior leadership role with broad influence across the business unit. You will be responsible for driving commercial performance, strengthening governance, and supporting the successful delivery of a varied portfolio of projects. Working closely with operational, estimating and leadership teams, you will play a key role in shaping business strategy, managing commercial risk, and ensuring strong financial performance.,
- Lead the commercial function across EST projects, covering contract management, cost control, and risk management.
- Provide commercial governance and support to operational delivery teams.
- Responsibility for procurement across the business, including line management of a Bid Manager.
- Dotted line into Eurovia Estimating function for alignment on tendering and pricing.
- Reporting directly to BU Manager, with a dotted line to the Eurovia Commercial Director.
- Support tendering, pipeline development, and overall commercial performance of the business unit.
Demonstrable experience as a Commercial Manager, Managing Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor within infrastructure, highways or construction. - Strong expertise in contract management, cost control and commercial risk.
- Proven experience in procurement and supply chain strategy.
- Track record of supporting successful tendering and bidding activity.
- Strong leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to operate at both a strategic and operational level.
- Degree-qualified (or equivalent) in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, or a related discipline.
