Full Job Description

Taking full ownership of the commercial function across a portfolio of regional projects and tenders
Developing and implementing commercial strategies in partnership with operational leadership
Leading and mentoring commercial teams to improve capability, performance and engagement
Managing tender reviews, risk and opportunity, CVRs and accurate progress reporting
Working closely with finance and project teams to optimise forecasting, cashflow and business planning
Building strong relationships with clients and supply chain partners, supporting dispute resolution
Overseeing procurement activity and ensuring contractual compliance
Driving continuous improvement in regional commercial performance through innovation and best practice

Significant experience in a senior commercial role within infrastructure, ideally with National Grid or similar high-voltage projects
Degree-level qualification or equivalent industry experience
Strong working knowledge of NEC3/4 contracts, with experience of JCT and FIDIC forms
Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with confidence reviewing and agreeing contract terms
A solid understanding of programme management and project controls
Proven experience leading, developing and motivating teams
A full UK driving licence and willingness to travel
