Commercial Manager

We're looking for a Commercial Manager to join our Southern Water Strategic Delivery Programme team based in Falmer, Brighton., Location: Falmer, Brighton - remote working available, with occasional travel to the office required.Hours: 40 hours per week - some flexibility on hours available if desired, just let us know when you speak to us.

As Commercial Manager, you'll play a vital role in mobilising projects across Southern Water's areas, bringing your expertise to a dynamic and growing team.

What will you be responsible for?

As a Commercial Manager, you'll be working within the Southern Water Strategic Delivery Programme team, supporting them with the Stage 2 readiness and transition into securing Stage 2 works. Your day to day will include:

-Leading the commercial performance of contracts through effective management of resources, understanding contract conditions, and implementing risk management strategies

-Collaborating with the Senior Leadership Team to develop commercial strategies that drive successful project delivery and profitability

-Managing and mentoring a team of commercial professionals across the region, identifying talent and fostering development

-Producing high-level commercial reports and presenting to board level stakeholders

-Overseeing monthly valuations, cost forecasting, and financial reporting to maximise cash flow and project performance

You hold a relevant degree in Quantity Surveying and Chartered Status (or equivalent professional qualification)

-You have substantial experience in a senior commercial role within a Tier 1 contracting environment, ideally within the Water sector or regulated utilities

-You possess excellent contractual knowledge, including NEC and JCT conditions

-You have a proven track record of producing board-level commercial reports and developing successful commercial strategies
