Commercial Lawyer

This is a fantastic opportunity to work across a diverse range of commercial matters, partnering with stakeholders across the business to provide practical, commercially focused legal advice. You'll play a key role in drafting and negotiating contracts, managing legal risk, and supporting the business to achieve its objectives, while working closely with the Head of Legal Services.,

• Drafting, reviewing and negotiating a broad range of customer and supplier contracts.
• Providing pragmatic, commercially focused legal advice to colleagues across the business throughout contract negotiations and delivery.
• Advising on the interpretation and application of commercial agreements.
• Updating and maintaining precedent contracts, templates and terms and conditions to ensure they remain fit for purpose.
• Keeping abreast of changes in relevant legislation and ensuring the business is informed of any implications.
• Providing day-to-day legal advice across a variety of operational and commercial matters.
• Working closely with the Head of Legal Services, escalating matters where appropriate and keeping them informed of key developments.
  
  This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified Solicitor who is looking to broaden their commercial experience within a fast-paced retail environment. You'll gain exposure to a wide variety of legal work, build strong relationships across the business, and make a real impact while developing your career with one of the UK's leading family retailers.
• You will have a minimum 2 years' post-qualification experience in commercial law - ideally gained within a retail environment
• Able to handle own workload with minimal supervision
• Confident and self-motivated
• Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a team
