Commercial Gas Engineer

The role of Commercial Gas Engineer will include:

• Carry out installation, fault fixing, maintenance duties, installation and commissioning of gas central heating systems within commercial properties
• Provide accurate and timely information on progress and advice that is easily understood by the customer and ensure accurate daily work records are completed
• Respond positively to complaints and breakdowns in service delivery to meet customer expectations
• Resolve problems or set into motion the means of resolution, ensuring customers are kept informed
• Ensure tools and equipment are maintained in good condition and stocks are replenished as needed, We work closely with the Home Office in order to prevent unlawful working.
A basic Disclosure and Barring Service check will be necessary in the event of a successful application which we will pay for. Sanctuary Maintenance Contractors Limited is a subsidiary of Sanctuary Housing Association, an exempt charity.


• To ensure full compliance with health and safety legislation, candidates applying for this role must be qualified to CCN1, CDGA1, CENWAT, CIGA1, CKR1, COCN1, CPA1, Energy Efficiency Qualification, HTR1, ICPN1, Unvented - G3 Certificate, and Water Regulations (WRAS); or be currently undertaking the qualifications. As part of the interview process, candidates will be required to bring with them the original certification verifying proof of their qualifications. Copies and CSCS cards will not be accepted.
• Recent experience of undertaking a similar role
• Working knowledge of the application of Health and Safety legislation
• Proven experience of working to deadlines and prioritising work loads
• Excellent communication and customer care skills
• Working knowledge of the installation, servicing and maintenance of gas heating systems in commercial properties
• This role will involve driving on company business. In order to drive a company vehicle, drivers must hold a full valid UK driving licence
