The Commercial Data Analytics Manager leads the strategic and operational management of commercial data across AWE. This role is critical in ensuring the accuracy, availability, and actionable use of data to drive effective commercial decision-making within the Commercial team on all matters relating to third-party spend incurred by AWE. The role reports into the Principal Commercial Performance, Insights & Reporting Manager.

Key Accountabilities

• Ensures Commercial teams have access to timely, accurate, and relevant data to meet performance and strategic objectives.


• Responsible for master data management of all commercial data, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and integrity across systems used by the Commercial function.


• Manages the data lifecycle, ensuring seamless data flow across systems.


• Oversees data protocols, data cleansing, and data maintenance to provide usable data to Commercial colleagues.


• Coordinates between Commercial, IT, Finance, and other relevant teams to align data strategy with business needs.


• Manages the Commercial Data Team.

Desired Experience and Skills

• Compliance with relevant legislation and regulations.


• Proven professional experience.


• Experience in a Procurement or Commercial function.


• Experience in data operations and/or commercial analytics.


• Proven ability to manage large datasets, data transformation, and business intelligence tools.


• Natural analytical thinker.


• Proficient in SQL, Excel, and visualization platforms (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).


• Strong communication skills with the ability to translate technical insights into business language.


• Detail-oriented with a proactive approach to problem-solving and process improvement.
