Workplace: Reading, with free onsite parking. Operating on a 9-day working fortnight, with every other Friday off. Role Overview


The Commercial Data Analytics Manager leads the strategic and operational management of commercial data across AWE. This role is critical in ensuring data accuracy, availability, and actionable insights to support effective commercial decision-making within the Commercial team, especially regarding third-party spend. The role reports to the Principal Commercial Performance, Insights & Reporting Manager.


Key Accountabilities



  • Ensures Commercial teams have access to timely, accurate, and relevant data to meet performance and strategic objectives.

  • Manages master data to ensure accuracy, consistency, and integrity across systems used by the Commercial function.

  • Oversees the data lifecycle, ensuring seamless data flow across systems.

  • Maintains data protocols, data cleansing, and data maintenance to deliver usable data to Commercial colleagues.

  • Liaises between Commercial, IT, Finance, and other teams to align data strategy with business needs.

  • Manages the Commercial Data Team.


Desired Experience & Skills



  • Experience in compliance with relevant legislation and regulations.

  • Proven professional experience.

  • Background in Procurement / Commercial functions.

  • Experience with data operations and/or commercial analytics.

  • Experience managing large datasets, data transformation, and business intelligence tools.

  • Analytical thinker with proficiency in SQL, Excel, and visualization platforms (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).

  • Strong communication skills, able to translate technical insights into business language.

  • Detail-oriented and proactive in problem-solving and process improvement.
