Full Job Description

As our Commercial Data Analyst, you will be the engine behind our data-driven commercial strategies. You will provide detailed analysis of our income and external market trends to drive engagement and opportunities with our key partners and retailers. This is a really exciting and truly collaborative role, as your work will bridge the gap between complex data sets and actionable commercial insights. As our Commercial Data Analyst, we will look to you to:

  • Conduct research on food and farming industry trends, identifying commercial opportunities and risks. Develop and maintain robust income analysis based on historical data and market shifts to inform financial planning. Prepare data-driven decks and contribute to high-level partnership meetings with major retailers. Act as a Salesforce Super User; ensuring data integrity and creating commercial connections across various organisational data sources. Work cross-functionally with Finance, Marketing, and Operations to ensure commercial planning aligns with wider financial goals.

This is a great role for a proactive problem solver, who thrives in a fast-paced environment; if this is you, we would love to hear from you, especially if you have:
  • A strong ability to interpret financial data and with great attention to detail. Experience in the food industry or retail sector, particularly an understanding of supply chains and product life cycles. Advanced skills in Google Sheets/Excel and PowerPoint, with experience in data visualisation tools. The ability to translate complex data into compelling narratives for senior stakeholders and retailers. A natural ability to build relationships across a large, complex organisation and an understanding of how data impacts different functions. Demonstrated experience in sales and margin analysis, financial forecasting, and market research. Familiarity with AI modelling or advanced data analytics is a significant advantage.
  • If this sounds like the ideal next step in your career; please apply today! Successful candidates for certain RSPCA roles will need to undergo a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.

RSPCA Assured is celebrating 30 years of improving the lives of farmed animals. In that time, we're proud to have worked with thousands of farmers - and all of the UK's biggest supermarkets - to help make the lives of millions of animals better. Every year, we inspect almost 4,000 farms and other scheme members to ensure they meet strict RSPCA animal welfare standards - ensuring a better life for farm animals. So when you see an RSPCA Assured label on meat, fish, eggs or milk products, it means the animal was cared for according to the RSPCA's standards from birth to slaughter. Our vision is a world where all farmed animals are respected and treated with kindness and compassion - and that's what we work towards every day. RSPCA Assured is looking for a Commercial Data Analyst to join our dedicated team. This is a pivotal role where your analytical prowess will directly support our mission to improve the lives of farmed animals
