Full Job Description
We are seeking to appoint a motivated and proactive College Safety, Facilities and Lettings Officer to join our busy and thriving college community. The successful candidate will take a leading role in ensuring the college meets its health and safety responsibilities, supporting a safe environment for students, staff and visitors. While experience of health and safety processes would be advantageous, we are equally keen to hear from candidates who can demonstrate a positive, organised and professional approach, strong attention to detail, and a willingness to learn. Full training and development will be provided to the right candidate to enable them to undertake the health and safety aspects of the role. In addition, the post holder will be responsible for the promotion, coordination and administration of all external bookings and lettings of college facilities. This includes delivering excellent customer service to hirers, maintaining positive relationships with users of the facilities, and supporting the college in maximising income generation from lettings. Key Responsibilities
- Lead and monitor college health and safety processes and compliance requirements.
- Undertake and review risk assessments for activities, events and individual students as required.
- Promote a strong health and safety culture throughout the college.
- Manage and administer bookings and lettings of college facilities.
- Deliver high standards of customer service to external hirers and visitors.
- Support the effective use of college facilities and maximise lettings income.
- Undertake associated administrative duties and maintain accurate records.
Have a good understanding of health and safety principles and practice. - Possess excellent interpersonal, organisational and customer service skills.
- Be able to work effectively in a fast-paced and varied environment.
- Demonstrate strong administrative skills and attention to detail.
- Be confident liaising with a wide range of stakeholders, including staff, students, visitors and external customers. Full training will be provided for candidates who demonstrate the right attitude, aptitude and commitment to developing their knowledge and skills in health and safety.
