Full Job Description
Cognitive Behavioural Therapy for psychosis is the most recognised evidence based treatment for psychosis and it is recommended that all EIP services across the nation have CBT treatment for service users following them experiencing their first psychotic episode
CBTp is a psychosocial intervention that should be should be delivered over at least 16planned sessions to help people establish links between their thoughts, feelings or actions and their current or past symptoms and functioning.
CBT practitioners can work with a caseload of 15 people at any one time.
Service users on the First Episode and ARMs pathways should have access to CBT during their time with EIP, this is currently would apply to 130 service users.
Service users benefit from CBTp to promote recovery and work their independence with relapse prevention.
CBT therapists offer vital contribution to service delivery and MDT discussions. Support with formulating service users needs.
