Full Job Description
Tendring PCN has an opportunity for a coder/summariser/administrator to join our team to assist our busy practice support teams, assisting in the smooth delivery of excellent patient care. This position is offered on a full-time basis, 37.5 hours per week.,
- Undertaking a variety of administrative duties such as the provision of secretarial and clerical support to clinical staff and other members of the practice team.
- Data entry and read coding of relevant patient information and medical data into EMIS clinical system.
- Scanning patient information into computerised records, including medical documents, hospital records and letters, as necessary.
- Allocating workflow for review by doctors or other health professionals.
- Dealing with referrals to primary care.
- Processing practice post and emails.
- Registering new patients.
- Covering reception, as and when required, supporting with non-clinical requests submitted via AskmyGP.
- Handling enquiries efficiently.
- Summarising clinical correspondence.

- Mayflower Medical Centre, Harwich (MMC) Our aim is to deliver better health outcomes for our local patient populations, and reduce health inequalities, via provision of additional roles and services to extend the General Practice Teams. Tendring PCN are one of the 22 PCN Test Sites as part of the national PCN pilot programme, a partnership with SNEE ICB and NHS England to narrow demand and capacity gaps, improve workforce and patient experiences, as well as sustain general practice for the future.
