Full Job Description
The Admin Involvement Volunteer will support the smooth running of the Hertfordshire Complex Needs Service by assisting with administrative tasks and contributing to service user involvement activities. This role provides an opportunity to gain experience in administrative processes within a supportive environment, while contributing to a service that supports individuals with complex needs., 1. Administrative Support
- Assist with general office duties such as filing, scanning, photocopying, and data entry.
- Support the upkeep of accurate and confidential records in line with data protection policies.
- Help organise appointments, room bookings, and staff diaries where required.
- Prepare and organise documents, forms, and resources for team use. 2. Service User Involvement Support
- Support the coordination of service user involvement activities (e.g. feedback sessions, forums, surveys).
- Help collect and collate feedback from clients to support service improvement.
- Assist in developing and preparing materials for involvement activities (e.g. posters, leaflets). 3. CNS Hub & Team Support
- Provide a welcoming and professional reception for clients attending CNS hubs.
- Support the team with preparing spaces for meetings, groups, or activities.
- Assist with maintaining an organised and safe working environment. 4. Communication & Engagement
- Support communication between staff and service users where appropriate.
- Help distribute information about services, activities, and resources.
- Promote a positive and inclusive environment for all clients and staff. 5. Compliance & Professional Practice
- Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately.
- Follow organisational policies and procedures, including safeguarding.
- Work within agreed boundaries as a volunteer and seek guidance when needed., This is a voluntary position; reasonable travel expenses may be reimbursed.
- Hours are flexible and agreed in advance.
- Role may be based across different CNS hubs or offices in Hertfordshire.
Essential - Good organisational skills and attention to detail
- Basic IT skills (e.g. Microsoft Word, email, data entry)
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work as part of a team
- Willingness to learn and take direction
- Driving is essential for this role Desirable
- Interest in working within health, social care, or community services
- Previous administrative or volunteer experience
- Understanding of confidentiality and professional boundaries, Friendly and approachable
- Professional and trustworthy
