Full Job Description
The post holder will also support the Cancer Clinical Nurse Specialists (CNSs) by providing a robust administration and support service, which will involve managing phone calls, coordinating pathways and appointments, requesting diagnostics, expediting imaging requests, requesting transport, completing STRATA referrals and assisting with CNS clinic management and in some cases supporting patient groups and forums alongside the CNSs. We are looking to appoint a Cancer CNS Support Worker to work within the Oncology Specialist Nursing Team, this will primarily be working with the Metastatic Gynaecology and skin cancer teams but the expectation is that other areas will be supported. Candidates must have extensive administration, and organisational skills along with excellent communication and people skills, ideally with a good understanding of NHS healthcare systems and processes.,
