CNC Machinist

Morson are proud to be working in partnership with Safran to recruit experienced CNC Machinists to support the GDS programme at their Wolverhampton site. The Role You will be responsible for machining components within a high-precision manufacturing environment, supporting advanced aerospace projects. Key Responsibilities Set up, operate, and adjust 5-axis turning and milling machines Monitor production quality and machine performance Work with Manufacturing Engineers on new part introduction Follow process layouts, work instructions, and compliance standards Support TPM and maintenance activities Ensure material flow, tooling availability, and SWIP monitoring Contribute to continuous improvement and lean initiatives Adhere to all EHS and safety procedures Essential Skills &

Experience Minimum 3 years CNC setting & operating experience Experience in a precision engineering/manufacturing environment Knowledge of 5-axis machines and inspection equipment Level 3 Qualifciation i.e. City & Guilds or NVQ (please enquire as variations of Level 3 qualifications exist) Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently or in a team Desirable Apprentice-trained background Experience with new technology or cell introductions Proactive, problem-solving mindset Shift Pattern Week 1 - Earlies: Monday-Thursday: 6:00am - 1:30pm Friday: 6:00am - 1:00pm Week 2 - Lates: Monday-Thursday: 1:15pm - 9:00pm Friday: 1:00pm - 7:00pm 37 HOURS PLUS Pay rates : £26.87 per hour plus £3.91 holiday pay (can opt to accrue holiday pay to ensure payment for 25 days plus 8 days bank holiday / £35.71 per hour Umbrella - please enquire Morson Benefits Weekly pay Competitive PAYE & Umbrella rates Access to contractor benefits Onsite Morson support Opportunity to work
