Salary: £35,000 + 19% shift allowance for mid shift


Job Category: Operations/ Operations Manager




  • Set, operate, and maintain CNC lathes, milling machines, and grinders

  • Adjust tool offsets and datums to ensure precision machining

  • Carry out detailed inspections using CMM machines and attribute gauges

  • Work within the Bearing Housing machining area, supporting multiple CNC processes and machine types as part of a multi-skilled team

  • Maintain high standards of quality, safety, and efficiency



Responsibilities



  • Proven experience in CNC turning and milling of metal components

  • Hands-on machining experience with a strong understanding of precision tolerances and measuring equipment

  • Proactive mindset with strong initiative and problem-solving ability

  • Effective communication skills, with the ability to support and train others

  • Strong sense of accountability and commitment to team objectives

  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications

  • Experience within a machine shop environment



Desirable Skills & Experience



  • CNC programming knowledge

  • Apprenticeship-trained CNC machinist

  • Experience with CNC grinding, CMM operation, and robotics/cobots
