The Hyde Group are established industry experts and has two vacancies for a Toolmaker/Fitter working at our manufacturing facility in Atherton., As a CNC Milling Operator, you will be responsible for operating CNC Milling machines plus a wide range of tasks within our manufacturing facility in Stockport., As a CMM Inspector, you will be responsible for inspecting jobs at various stages of the machining inspection process (1st off, final inspection and FAIR inspection) in line with customer requirements (capture specific measurements from customer requirements). You will also be responsible for providing machine operators timely feedback on product non-conformities, highlighting any training needs to supervisors and assist them with any technical queries. You'll use your experience to seek out and drive continuous improvements to identify and resolve issues within your control, also contributing towards wider continuous improvement activities., Are you looking for a new and exciting challenge, with a forward-thinking organisation within the high-tech engineering sector? The Hyde Group are established industry experts and have vacancies for a Sheet Metal Worker, working in our busy manufacturing facility in Dukinfield., As a Sheet Metal Worker, you will be part of the team that manufactures products for a variety of aerospace and defence clients performing a full range of sheet metal operations in line with our Standard Operating Procedures, whilst working to the approved quality standards. You will be able to read and interpret engineering drawings, follow in house routing/processes ensuring that the correct calibrated equipment is used., As an Airframe Fitter, you will be involved with the assembly of our core product working with a variety of metallic structures. You'll perform all assembly operations in line with our Standard Operating Procedures, whilst working to the approved quality standards. You will be able to read and interpret engineering drawings and have the ability to ensure that the correct equipment is used and fully calibrated.

  • Familiar with Toolroom Machinery and a good understanding of Engineering Drawings.

  • Assembly/Fitting skills with good attention to detail.
  • Desired Experience
  • Aerospace experience beneficial but not essential., Have previous machine experience in a manufacturing environment using Heidenheim software.
  • Have experience of using manual measuring equipment for example; Vernier's.

  • We are looking to appoint a CMM Inspector with industry knowledge and aerospace experience to work as part of our quality team within our machining business at our Stockport (Cheshire) site.,
  • Excellent communications skills are imperative.
  • Must have good team working ethic, be highly pro-active and motivated.
  • Ability to read and interpret 3D Models & 2D drawings.
  • Experience in a CMM software. Ideally Camio but working knowledge of others will be taken into consideration.
  • Excellent customer facing skills with a proactive approach to problem solving.
  • Solid engineering background.
  • Good understanding of the quality management systems (QMS) in either Aerospace/Automotive industry.
  • Understanding of AS9100.
  • FAIRS process experience preferred.
  • Experience of various inspection tools and the ability to understand inspection reports.
  • Good understanding of Inspection and manufacturing techniques.
  • Experience of CNC machining is preferred.
  • IT literate, in particular SAP, Microsoft Project, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills (Lean/six sigma knowledge preferred).
  • The ability to work flexible hours should the business need arise., Must be committed to working safely and comply with the 5S standards in place.
  • Time served sheet metal worker with a solid engineering background; aerospace, pharmaceutical, medical, any high quality industry - the vast majority of our work is thin gauge aluminium.
  • Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Attention to detail; producing high quality, close tolerance components.
  • Experience of key processes: rubber press, hand form, profiling parts after form, countersinking, wheeling, rolling., Must be committed to working safely and comply with the 5S standards in place.
  • Aerospace airframe / structural assembly experience, preferably working within the aerospace industry
  • Ability to read / understand drawings and aerospace specifications.
  • Key processes: drilling, countersinking, riveting, use of sealants, fitting helicoils, bearing, bushes etc.
  • Trade test to be completed as a follow up / 2nd stage interview to demonstrate ability to carry out assembly processes to aerospace quality standards.
