Full Job Description
An exciting opportunity for a Clinical Technologist / Dosimetrist to join a friendly and enthusiastic team in a busy Radiosurgery Physics department providing scientific and technical support to the National Centre for Stereotactic Radiosurgery.,
- To provide clinical technical support to The National Centre for Stereotactic Radiosurgeryincluding all aspect of patient treatment, dosimetry and quality assurance ofRadiosurgery equipment.
- Take an active role in the provision of medical physics support for the stereotactic radiosurgery services, including the provision of technical support at all stages of the patient preparation, target localisation, planning and treatment processes.
- The post holder contributes to research projects as guided by the Section Chief Clinicaltechnologist. The successful candidate will join the Radiosurgery Physics team and Clinical Scientists and will participate in all aspects of the service including:
- Radiosurgery treatment planning (Elekta GammaPlan Software).
- Treatment delivery,
- Equipment quality assurance,
- Development and maintenance of our Quality Management System.
- Patient data analysis for service evaluation and the research and development activities of the department
The National Centre in Sheffield has been treating patients with Gamma Knife Radiosurgery since 1985.
