Clinical Team Lead

An exciting opportunity to help shape a new specialist community mental health service in Hounslow.

We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Band 7 Clinical Team Lead to join our newly formed Hounslow Intensive Outreach & Rehabilitation Team (HIORT)., You will be a registered mental health professional with a strong background in community mental health and in working with people with severe and enduring mental health needs. You will bring sound clinical judgement, confidence in managing complexity and risk, and the ability to lead people with warmth, clarity and accountability.

HIORT brings together our established Community Rehabilitation (CRS) and Assertive Outreach (AO) pathways into one integrated multidisciplinary team. This is an important development for Hounslow and an opportunity to build on the strengths, expertise and experience of both services, while retaining the distinct clinical approach each pathway needs and creating a more joined up offer for people with complex and enduring mental health needs.

As our Clinical Team Lead, you will be right at the heart of this development.

Working alongside the Band 8a Team Manager, and our wider multidisciplinary colleagues, you will help bring the new team together and shape how we work in practice. You will provide visible, supportive clinical leadership across both pathways, line manage and develop staff, support effective caseload management and clinical decision making, and help us establish a positive, accountable and compassionate team culture.

This is a hands-on clinical leadership role. Alongside your leadership and first line management responsibilities, you will retain a small caseload of people with highly complex needs and work alongside practitioners when clinical situations require senior support. We want someone who enjoys being close to clinical practice, supporting staff and finding practical solutions when things are difficult.
