Clinical Teaching Fellow

This post is being created to nurture our vision of improving our successful undergraduate medical education programme. This post will offer opportunities for candidates to gain practical experience in delivering teaching sessions and learn the latest evidence-based medical education practices.
The Clinical Teaching Fellow post is based at Morriston Hospital. Duties will involve the delivery and planning of undergraduate education.

Main duties of the job
The candidate will benefit from access to resources and support from the medical school and will be encouraged to undertake a formal postgraduate qualification in medical education, for which courses are offered by Swansea University. Study leave will be readily granted for this activity.
This post is suitable for doctors who wish to gain formal teaching experience in a department that works closely with Swansea University Medical School. The post is a full-time appointment, but applications from doctors wishing to work on a part-time basis will also be welcomed.
This is a fixed-term post for 12 months.
Travelling between Hospital/Clinic sites may be required to undertake duties. In exceptional circumstances, it may also be necessary to undertake duties at other locations with the Health Board.
You will be expected to deputise for absent colleagues and, in exceptional, unforeseen circumstances, may have to perform additional duties to ensure the safe running of the department.
