Full Job Description

Applicants will be invited to attend a recruitment event at Arrowe Park Hospital on8th May 2026, where interviews will take place on the day.

Please ensure you are free on this date to attend.

Provide high quality basic nursing care as directed by care plans, registered nurse/nursing associates senior staff including:

- Assistance with personal hygiene
- Assistant with toileting
- Assistance with dressing/undressing
- Ensure all patients nutritional status is maintained

Perform a range of clinical tasks or procedures which may include; (examples listed below are not exhaustive)
- ECG acquisition
- Peripheral IV access
- Venepuncture
- Basic & advanced casting
- Pressure area risk assessment
- Urinalysis
- Pregnancy testing
- Capillary blood glucose monitoring
- Formed stoma care
- Wound care management of simple wounds/basic dressings
- Perform observations using an automated device
- Removal of staples

To be considered, applicants should hold a Level 3 qualification in Health & Social Care (such as A-Levels or NVQ Level 3), or have an equivalent level of education with a willingness to undertake the relevant Level 3 qualification upon appointment. Alternatively, candidates with a minimum of 12 months' experience as a Healthcare Assistant, supported by relevant knowledge gained through practical experience, on-the-job training, and short courses, are also encouraged to apply., Disability Confident
