Clinical Support Worker - ED | Wirral University Teaching Hospital NHS Foundation Trust

Applicants will be invited to attend a recruitment event at Arrowe Park Hospital on8th May 2026, where interviews will take place on the day.

Provide high quality basic nursing care as directed by care plans, registered nurse/nursing associates senior staff including:

- Assistance with personal hygiene
- Assistant with toileting
- Assistance with dressing/undressing
- Ensure all patients nutritional status is maintained

Perform a range of clinical tasks or procedures which may include; (examples listed below are not exhaustive)
- ECG acquisition
- Peripheral IV access
- Venepuncture
- Basic & advanced casting
- Pressure area risk assessment
- Urinalysis
- Pregnancy testing
- Capillary blood glucose monitoring
- Formed stoma care
- Wound care management of simple wounds/basic dressings
- Perform observations using an automated device
- Removal of staples

To be considered, applicants should hold a Level 3 qualification in Health & Social Care (such as A-Levels or NVQ Level 3), or have an equivalent level of education with a willingness to undertake the relevant Level 3 qualification upon appointment.
