Clinical Support Worker

In relation to Band 3 Senior Clinical Support Worker roles, we are currently able to recruit successfully from the domestic labour market and have a sufficient pool of suitably qualified and appointable candidates. As a result, visa sponsorship is not available for this role at this time. This position is kept under regular review and may change in the future should labour market conditions or service requirements alter. Medical Outpatients is a busy environment on a daily basis and supports with a wide range of clinics. Their is opportunity to work with a wide range of the multi disciplinary team on a daily basis. There will also be lots of engagement with communicating with patients. Main duties of the job To support the multi disciplinary team with pre clinic checks which vary from clinic to clinic. The tests required could include: observations, height, weight, bmi, laboratory specimens and ecg's. To work alongside colleagues in a supportive manner and also help with some elements of caring responsibilities when supporting patients if needed., The outpatients department is currently undergoing a transformation in line with NHS England, so this will be an exciting time to join. To provide support in pre clinic checks such as observations, height, weight bmi, urinary analysis and venepuncture if applicable. There will also be a requirement to support with chaperoning when required. • Numeracy/Literacy skills to Level 1 (GCSE Grade 2-3, D-F or equivalent) IELTS or OETS (Overall score of C1) accepted for overseas applicants (Level 7 in Listening/speaking/reading & Level 6.5 in Writing)
• Care Certificate or must complete within 12 weeks of commencing employment
• NVQ/QCF Level 3 in Care/Equivalent qualification or willing/required to complete if successful (If applicant has 3 years or more care experience this is voluntary).
