Clinical Support Assistant

This is an exciting opportunity for a Clinical Support Assistant to join our dynamic and ever evolving Northumberland Community Learning Disability Team.

The post is in the West Team who are based in Hexham.

The team is made up of a psychiatry, psychology, learning disability nurses, nurse associates, behavioural therapists and community support workers.

We are a service offering intervention to Adults with Learning Disability. Working closely with family, carers and external organisations.

This new role offers you the chance to be part of a team who pride themselves on offering mental health, physical health and behavioural support to people with a learning disability who live within the community. To strive to achieve the best possible health outcomes and support safe lifestyles.

Main duties of the job

To assist in the delivery of care to clients with learning disabilities who live in the community.

To implement and evaluate care within a framework as a member of the care team ensuring that high quality, individualised care is delivered and that this promotes recovery and wellbeing and maximises independence.

To support the team in providing excellent and effective person centred care.
