An exciting opportunity has become available within the Be U Swindon Mental Health Support Team for a part time Clinical Supervisor and Senior Education Mental Health Practitioner to increase the services supervision capacity. Under expert supervision and as part of a dynamic and evolving mental health support team the successful post- holder will supervise, develop, and support Education Mental Health Practitioners/Childrens Wellbeing Practitioners to provide guided self-help, low intensity, brief, evidence-based CBT and to deliver groups and Whole School Approach Interventions. The role will also involve highlighting areas of need within the team and helping to develop the service and create quality improvement plans supported by, and in conjunction with, senior colleagues. The post holder will also hold a small caseload of 6-8 in agreement with their supervisor and some line management responsibility will be required., The post holder will provide clinical leadership, supervision, and operational support within the Mental Health Support Team (MHST), working collaboratively with schools, children's services, health professionals, and community partners to deliver high-quality mental health support for children and young people. They will manage and allocate referrals, contribute to service development, quality improvement, and safeguarding processes, and support the delivery of evidence-based interventions in line with CYP IAPT principles. The role includes providing clinical and case management supervision to Education Mental Health Practitioners (EMHPs) and Children's Wellbeing Practitioners (CWPs), supporting whole-school approach initiatives, conducting assessments and low-intensity CBT interventions, and ensuring effective signposting to appropriate services. The post holder will maintain accurate clinical records, contribute to audit and outcome monitoring activities, identify training and
development needs across the team, and promote best practice through training, mentorship, and service improvement initiatives. They will be responsible for maintaining high professional standards, participating in supervision and continuing professional development, adhering to safeguarding, confidentiality, and governance requirements, and promoting inclusive, child-centred practice that supports positive mental health outcomes.
