Clinical Specialist Sonographer / Practice Educator

To meet the requirements of a clinical specialist sonographer and in line with the advanced clinical practitioner framework, the successful candidate will be expected to complete a Masters in Science (MSc) which will be funded by the department. Further milestones and key tasks will need to be achieved for the role as part of the development role to ensure the full specification of the role is met prior to moving into the 8a pay scale.

This new role will also involve working with the Consultant Sonographer in facilitating all ultrasound trainees across the service whilst acting as lead mentor for the trainees.

The successful candidate will need to be able to commit to a minimum of 30 hours in the role. Non-specialist Obstetric and Gynaecology ultrasound work will remain an essential component of the clinical workload of this post.
