Full Job Description
Clinical Specialist Podiatrist in the High Risk Foot working across 2 acute settings in the Rapid Access Foot Ulcer Clinics and supporting the community based podiatry service in a variety of other settings.
To diagnose and treat patients with complex foot pathologies and provide clinical leadership to the High Risk Foot Team.
To facilitate and lead on audits and clinical governance., Provide expert knowledge and skills in the treatment of the High Risk Foot.
Be responsible for achieving Key Performance Indicators (KPI's) for diabetic foot ulcer intervention, developing plans to improve performance.
Be responsible for continuous service improvement in the care of patients with complex, podiatric care needs
Be responsible for advance areas of work and be a source of advice/ training/ support for the High Risk Foot Team and the wider MDT.
Develop referral pathways, Standard Operating Procedures and Clinical Standards to ensure current and safe clinical practice.
Be responsible for maintaining clinical stock levels within a limited budget.
