Clinical Specialist - PIPA

We are seeking to appoint a suitably experienced and skilled Band 7 Clinical Specialist to join our Psychologically Informed Partnership Approach (PIPA) service working in the Northallerton hub.

You will work within a supportive team of colleagues who are able to access supervision and training. PIPA is a large, well established multi-disciplinary team who provide a psychological and trauma informed service to vulnerable and care experienced children and young people, up to the age of 25, as well as their families, carers and the staff who work with them. PIPA brings psychologically informed ideas and ways of working to children's social care, where clinicians are highly valued in their embedded roles across safeguarding, looked after, children's residential, fostering and leaving care teams. The service consists of Psychologists and Advanced/Specialist Practitioners who provide direct work, consultation and training both face to face and remotely.

There are opportunities to work creatively and flexibly to support the emotional well-being of marginalised children and young people, for whom more traditional clinic-based approaches are not always effective. The work is diverse and varied, including direct therapeutic work, consultation, teaching and training. There is access to a range of formal and informal supervision and learning opportunities for PIPA staff in relevant areas such as trauma-informed and systemic practice.
