Full Job Description
We have an opportunity for an Clinical Specialist to join their team of staff in the Physiotherapy department. This is a part time role for 7.5 hours a week. The role holder will be required to cover a flexible shift pattern. Duties of this role include:
- Undertake expert assessment and treatment of patients with pelvic floor dysfunction, urinary/fecal incontinence, pelvic pain, pre/postnatal conditions, and post-surgical rehabilitation needs.
- Act as the clinical lead for pelvic health physiotherapy, ensuring service quality, consistency, and alignment with best practice.
- Work closely with urogynaecologists, colorectal surgeons, obstetricians, continence nurses, and other allied health professionals.
- Deliver specialist training, supervision, and mentorship to physiotherapists, students, and wider healthcare professionals.
- Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential patient records in accordance with HCPC, CSP, and organisational policies.
- Engage in continuing professional development (CPD) and maintain up-to-date knowledge in pelvic health research and clinical practice.
HCPC-registered Physiotherapist. - Extensive post-registration experience in women's, men's, and pelvic health physiotherapy.
- Recognised postgraduate training in pelvic health or continence physiotherapy.
- Advanced clinical reasoning, assessment, and treatment skills.
- Experience in service development, teaching, or supervision.
