We are seeking to recruit an enthusiastic and experienced Clinical Specialist Nurse (12 months - Secondment/Fixed Term) to work in the Darlington Community Mental Health Teams (Darlington Community HUB & Darlington Community Treatment and Intervention Team), The successful applicant will be responsible for delivering a high standard of clinical leadership to the team; ensuring clinical standards are maintained in the delivery of care across all aspects of the service. The nature of this work requires a calm, consistent approach to some challenging clinical situations alongside a willingness to be compassionate, creative and flexible in delivering clinical care.

The successful applicant will be required to contribute to and lead ongoing service development and offer clinical supervision to staff members. The ability to make balanced decisions and use positive risk-taking approaches, whilst managing potentially high-pressured situations is an essential part of this role.

Acting as a resource in providing specialist advice, training, guidance and consultation to the team and partner agencies is also an integral aspect of the role. The applicant will be an essential member of the multi-disciplinary team and will be able to facilitate the co-coordination of care on a multi-disciplinary basis to the patients under our care.

The successful applicant will also be responsible for the planning and delivery of supervision, appraisal and support to members of the community teams.
