Clinical Specialist Nurse

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a band 7 registered learning disability nurse to join the LD CAMHS community teams, the successful applicant will work between LD North and South community teams as well as the PBS+ and the IPBS team., We are looking to employ a highly motivated learning disability nurse with drive and enthusiasm in this field of nursing. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate knowledge around the PBS pathway, a patient centred approach to care, have excellent assessment and risk management skills. The post holder will be responsible for the management of a caseload of patients and work effectively within a multidisciplinary team. They will also be required to provide clinical leadership and supervision to junior members of the community team., The successful post holder will have a caseload covering Durham & Darlington for children and young people who require support through the PBS Pathway.

The post holder will provide clinical supervision and support to staff to allow them to understand complex presentation and work collaboratively to develop an understanding of a young person's needs.

You will work collaboratively with the wider CAMHS services and partner agencies, providing direct assessment and understanding of a child/young person's needs. You will develop working hypothesis' and understanding of formulation of the distress behaviours.
