An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Clinical Skills Training team, based at Lanchester Road Hospital, Durham or Flatts Lane Centre, Middlesbrough. The main aspects of the role are to deliver and support the development of programmes of training requiredto meet RRN Standards, NICE Guidelines, Department of Health and Safety Management andSecurity Services Guidelines and Resuscitation Council on the safe andeffective restrictive intervention training and Resus training. To promote safe and effective restrictive intervention training and Resustraining, Trust wide. To provide specialist advice, clinical guidance and support regardingrestrictive interventions, to all clinical areas. To promote at all times a positive image of people with mental healthconditions and learning disabilities. To promote at all times a positive image of the People and CultureDepartment and the wider Trust. You must have the Right to Work in the UK in order to be successfully appointed to this role. Please note, this role does not meet the required eligibility criteria for sponsorship under the Skilled Worker visa and therefore the Trust is unable to offer sponsorship for this particular role. Main duties of the job To deliver programmes of training across the Trust to ensure safe restrictive intervention training and Resus training. To be able to deliver complex information within the training sessions in an articulate and clear manner. To follow appropriate standards and guidelines for the provision of training in restrictive interventions and Resus. To be responsible for the provision and monitoring of training in the safe and therapeutic use of restrictive interventions on a regular basis., Please refer to the attached job description and person specification for further detailed information to ensure that you meet the role criteria before applying. - National Vocational Qualification Level 3 or equivalent competency based accredited training in health and social care within the fields of mental health and/or learning disability. Desirable
- Educational development within a health or social care related subject Experience Essential
- Experience and insight into clinical risk assessment and management.
- Can demonstrate significant experience of clinical practice within secondary care mental health or learning disability services.
- Can demonstrate significant experience in the prevention and safe management of restrictive intervention within clinical practiceCan demonstrate experience in the delivery within training programs in the use of restrictive interventions. Can demonstrate experience of participation in the delivery of instructional, educational and training programmes Desirable
- Experience of assisting within the delivery of restrictive intervention training.
- Can demonstrate experience in the delivery within training programs in the use of restrictive interventions.
- Can demonstrate experience of participation in the delivery of instructional, educational and training programmes, To be fully literate and able to communicate clearly complex information verbally, in legible writing and electronically in appropriate formats.
- To have knowledge and understanding of confidential information management.
- To be able to follow procedures and protocols and effectively apply work systems.
- To be able to demonstrate knowledge and understanding of the theory and process of restrictive interventions.
- To have an understanding of the processes of clinical care and the use of restrictive interventions in a clinical situation.
- To be able to demonstrate an understanding of systems of appraisal, supervision and support and show ability to participate in those systems Person Specification Qualifications Essential
