Full Job Description
The CSFC unit aims to enable students to make progress towards meeting some of the
knowledge, skills and behaviours described in the GMC's Outcomes for Graduates (2018).
The specific aims are to enable students to carry out a patient-centred consultation and
interpret the findings to generate appropriate working diagnoses. The Unit also empowers
The post-holder should be an experienced, post CCT clinician, MRCGP and registered with
the GMC (or equivalent) and have experience of leadership within medical education. The
post-holder should also have a PGCert in Education or equivalent/higher.
SALARY & HOURS: 0.4 FTE (Wednesdays essential) Permanent
£125,000 - £130,000 pro rata
(0.4 FTE £50,000 - £52,000 actual)
The University of Buckingham is seeking a highly motivated General Practitioner with a
specialist interest in Medical Education to lead its Clinical Skills Foundation Course (CSFC) at
our Buckingham Campus, from September 2026.
The University of Buckingham created the UK's first independent, not-for-profit, Medical
School in 2015. Our guiding philosophy is to produce highly ethical, honest, and
compassionate doctors who will put the patient first. We are now in our 11th year of intake of
the integrated four-and-a-half-year course. We received our GMC accreditation in May 2019
and our first intake also graduated in June 2019, and took up their Foundation Training.
