Clinical Research Nurse (Band 5 / 6 RN)

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Band 6 Clinical Research Nurse to join the Neuro-, Emergency and Trauma (NET) Research Team.

This role offers a fantastic opportunity to lead and support clinical research within a fast-paced acute environment. You will take ownership of research activities, managing a caseload of patients, supporting study delivery, and ensuring high-quality care throughout the research process.

You will also play a key role in mentoring and supporting junior staff, contributing to the development of research practice within the department.

Main duties of the job

You will be responsible for coordinating and delivering clinical trials, including identifying and recruiting participants, managing care pathways, and ensuring studies are delivered in line with protocols and regulatory requirements.

Your role will involve administering trial treatments, monitoring patient responses, collecting and managing data, and ensuring accurate documentation of study activity. You will also support the informed consent process, ensuring participants fully understand their involvement in research studies.

In addition, you will contribute to improving research processes, support audit activities, and act as a key resource for both clinical and research staff
