Clinical Research Fellow

The post holder will be report into Professor Sheeba Irshad and will be based at Guy's Cancer Centre in London Bridge. This post offers hands-on experience in translational trial design, clinical delivery, and immuno-oncology research. The successful applicant will work closely with academic and NHS collaborators including Guy's and St Thomas' NHS Trust and the ICR Clinical Trials and Statistics Unit. The post is fixed term for 3 years. It is full time (40 hours per week), with no allocated time for ongoing clinical training., The post holder will be involved in developing trial documentation, contributing to regulatory submissions, and supporting the clinical and translational aspects of the study. The post holder will focus on intratumoral virotherapy using CRAd657-CD40L, with the goal of converting immune cold breast tumours to immune hot. The post provides an opportunity for the post holder to undertake a research degree (MD(Res).

To be successful in this role, we are looking for candidates to have the following skills and experience: Essential criteria

• Medical qualification and full GMC registration
• Completed core medical training and currently in higher specialty training
• Interest in translational cancer research
• Understanding of clinical research methods and GCP
• Experience in academic/research environments
• Excellent organisational and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Desirable criteria
• Familiarity with tumour immunology or immunotherapy Previous publications or involvement in research trials
• Intent to pursue an MD/PhD
