Clinical Research Fellow

The Clinical Research Fellow will be a part of the rheumatology research team, working alongside King's College London colleagues in the Centre for Rheumatic Disease Clinical Trials Group. The team facilitates the delivery of a range of commercial, non-commercial, and academic studies that are undertaken by clinicians within the Rheumatology Department. The focus of the clinical research is on rheumatic disease and includes the evaluation of current treatments and practices, as well as the investigation of the efficacy and effectiveness of new treatments. The post holder will be responsible for clinical oversight with a particular focus on clinical care and patient safety, supported by the lead investigators and more senior clinical research fellow colleagues.,

• Act as sub-investigator as part of a multidisciplinary team for commercial and non-commercial clinical research studies, delivering those studies safely, on time and to target, complying with the regulatory requirements.
• Maintain accurate records (paper and electronic) as required by regulatory authorities, Sponsors and local policies.
• Work with the Kings College London departmental Clinical Studies Manager and Senior Trials coordinator, and trust employed Clinical Research support staff to ensure that the team is delivering on both the commercial and non-commercial study portfolio targets.
About us The Clinical Research Fellow will report on a day-to-day basis to Professor James Galloway, and work with the Senior Trials Coordinator and Clinical Studies Manager to identify priority trial activity to be delivered. Line management support will also be provided by the Clinical Research Facility Manager. The postholder will work closely with other Clinical Research Fellows in the department, as well as Clinical Research Practitioners and Research Nurses.

£76,582 a year per annum /pro rata plus London Weighting Zone
