Full Job Description
This exciting role offers an excellent opportunity for physician trainees to gain experience in clinical research, including early phase and experimental studies, within a supportive environment.
The primary role of the post holder is to provide medical support for the implementation and delivery of clinical research studies across a variety of therapeutic areas under the remit of University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire NHS Trust (UHCW) Research & Development (R&D). Hours will routinely be worked weekdays with the post holder required to provide medical cover outside of normal working hours on occasion, as determined by the nature of the study being undertaken. The post holder will be predominantly based at University Hospital, Coventry but may also be required to work at the Hospital of St Cross, Rugby., UHCW manage and deliver a large portfolio of interventional and observational trials across a broad range of specialties, including early phase and experimental medicine studies, with the support of a well-established and multi-disciplinary R&D Team. Through supporting staff to conduct leading edge research focused on the needs of our patients, UHCW R&D are committed to establishing the Trust as an internationally recognised centre of excellence.
