Full Job Description
The post holder will play a key role in the set-up and delivery of NIHR-funded physical health research trials (including diabetes, sexual health and primary care) across Hampshire and the Isle of Wight Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust. The role will involve working closely with clinical teams across the Trust, travelling to a range of sites to support study set-up, recruit participants and ensure high-quality study delivery. All research activity will be conducted in full compliance with sponsor requirements and relevant regulatory and governance standards. Main duties of the job The post holder will be responsible, under the direction of the R&I Senior management team, for the day to day running of clinical trials and other research studies in the Trust including: taking informed consent, study visits and procedures, review and completion of medical assessments, data collection and capture, prescription of investigational medical products, reporting of adverse events, responding to data queries, support research nurses and practitioners, Further information about the Trust and this role can be found on the Job Description and Person Specification document attached. - MBBS or equivalent Medical Degree
- Full registration with the GMC.
- At least two years post graduate experience, meeting Foundation 2 competencies or equivalent. Experience Essential
- Research experience
- Experience working in an NHS setting
- Experience of administrative work including data management
- Ability to make effective use of standard office computer systems including word-processing and spreadsheets Desirable
- Experience of working in NHS health research setting Additional Criteria Essential
