Full Job Description
The post holder will work within an exciting newly established service - "Aspire", which is an Intensive Day Service, within the CAMHS Eating Disorder Pathway as part of a targeted team of mental health professionals in delivering an effective service. The service currently takes on up to 4 young people at anytime.
The principal role is in partnership with young people with an eating disorder, their families and carers, to assess, plan and offer intensive, evidence-based episodes of care and treatments to all eating disorder presentations and co-morbidities.
The special focus of this work being around Tier 4 inpatient admission avoidance, and stepping down from the inpatient setting to reduce length of stay.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will need to work flexibly within the team, and be able to design an individually tailored intervention program based on client need, clear analysis of causes of symptomatology and a formulation based approach, using evidence-based components, applying regular validated outcome measures. Interventions include individual work and group work, and working with the family and broader system around the young person.
The successful post holder will directly contribute to the positive working environment within the multidisciplinary team. The post-holder will assist in innovative developments via our Quality Improvement programs. The post holder will require a high degree of professional autonomy and self-management, and will be required to account for their professional practice through appraisal and audit
