Clinical Psychologist

We are looking for a Clinical Psychologist to become a key member of our multidisciplinary Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS) in Heywood, Middleton and Rochdale, providing specialist psychological assessment, formulation and evidence-based therapeutic interventions to children and young people experiencing moderate to severe mental health difficulties including neurodevelopmental conditions.Thepostholderworkscollaborativelywithfamilies,schools,socialcare,healthprofessionalsandpartneragenciestosupporteffectivetreatmentplanning,riskmanagementandpositiveoutcomesforyoungpeople. A central aspect of the role is providing clinical supervision, training and support to qualified and trainee staff, helping to strengthen psychologically informed practice across services. The post holder contributes to the development and governance of psychological services, participates in service evaluation, audit and research activities, and supports the continuous improvement of CAMHS through evidence-basedpracticeandservicedevelopmentinitiatives.Therolerequiresautonomousprofessionalpracticewithinprofessionalandorganisationalguidelineswhilemaintaininghighstandardsofclinicalcare,safeguardingandrecordkeeping.

Please see attached JD and PS As a member of the multi-disciplinary CAMHS team, this post will contribute to the provision of psychological assessment and intervention to the CAMH Service working with children and young people with moderate to severe mental health difficulties and / or neurodevelopmental conditions including autistic spectrum disorders (ASD) To develop and implement psychological therapeutic plans of care and to liaise and work with other agencies regarding the implementation of care and the management of risk. To work autonomously within professional guidelines and exercise responsibility for the systematic governance of psychological practice within the service. To utilise research skills for audit, policy and service development and research within the area served by the CAMH service. To provide supervision to qualified and pre-qualified staff. To offer expert consultation to partner agencies and other professionals within the multi-disciplinary team.
