Clinical Psychologist

To provide a highly specialist psychology service to children and young people and families with complex and severe eating disorders (ED). Clinically, the post-holder will be responsible for individual case management and will be expected to conduct highly specialist psychological assessments, produce highly complex formulations, and deliver direct therapeutic work. They will also provide specialist advice and consultation to a range of multiagency professionals and non-professional carers, and utilise research skills for audit, policy and service development. The post holder will be expected to work autonomously within professional guidelines and the overall framework of the team's policies and procedures.

• Post Graduate Doctoral level training in applied Psychology ( or its equivalent for those trained prior to 1996 or outside the UK) as approved by the HCPC.
• Professionally registered as a Practitioner Psychologist with the HCPC, Clinical experience of working with a range of clients presenting with a range of clinical severity.
• Experience of tailoring psychological assessment and intervention to individual needs.
• Experience of working with community Learning Disability teams and or in-patient settings., Knowledge of the theory and practice of highly specialist psychological assessment methods and therapeutic approaches in relation to the client group and skills in applying this knowledge.
• Knowledge of legislation in relation to the client group.
• Knowledge of research and audit methodology suitable to the role.
  
  This is a full time, permanent role and the successful candidate will become part of a growing and thriving CAMHS eating disorders out patient service.
