Full Job Description
We are excited to offer an opportunity for three Clinical Psychologists to join our dedicated team within the 018 Childrens Autism Service, based at the Axe Street Child & Family Centre (Barking and Dagenham), The Acorn Centre (Havering) and The Grove Centre (Redbridge). This is a permanent, full-time role of 37.5 hours per week, and the successful candidate will work at Band 7, earning between £49,397 and £56,515 per annum, plus Outer London HCAS., About North East London NHS Foundation Trust North East London NHS Foundation Trust is committed to delivering exceptional care to children, young people, and families across the region. Working closely with local community paediatric services and CAMHS, our 018 Integrated Childrens Autism Service is dedicated to improving outcomes for neurodiverse children and young people. Additionally, we maintain strong connections with Cambridge University Autism Research Centre, providing opportunities to engage in service-based research and innovative pilot projects., As a Clinical Psychologist, you will play a vital role in assessing and supporting children and young people with autism and other neurodevelopmental conditions. Working as part of a regional team, you will contribute specialist input to local services across the Barking and Dagenham, Redbridge, and Havering boroughs (one post per borough). Your expertise will help empower families and enhance the lives of the children and young people we serve. Post holder duties include:
- Conduct assessments for autism and other neurodevelopmental conditions, ensuring timely and accurate diagnoses.
- Deliver high-quality psychological and therapeutic interventions tailored to the needs of children, young people, and their families.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and external partners to develop and implement effective care pathways and interventions., Be part of a service making a meaningful impact on the lives of children and young people in the local community.
- Work in a role offering clear pay banding and opportunities for professional growth and development.
- Engage in service-based research and pilot projects in collaboration with Cambridge University Autism Research, contributing to advancements in the field.
Demonstrated knowledge and experience of assessing autism and other neurodevelopmental conditions. - Proficiency in core psychological and therapeutic skills, with a focus on evidence-based practices.
- Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams and engage effectively with families and external stakeholders., Demonstrated knowledge and experience of assessing autism and other neurodevelopmental conditions.
