Full Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Clinical Psychologist to join a specialist education setting supporting children and young people with autism and associated social and communication needs. This is a rewarding part-time opportunity where you will play a key role in supporting the emotional wellbeing, behavioural development, and independence of young people aged 7-19. Working as part of a multi-disciplinary team (MDT), you will assess psychological needs and deliver tailored, evidence-based interventions. You will also help embed Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) approaches across the setting, ensuring consistent and effective support for all students.,

  • Conduct psychological assessments and develop individualised support plans
  • Deliver one-to-one and group therapeutic interventions
  • Support the implementation of Positive Behaviour Support strategies
  • Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
  • Provide guidance, consultation, and training to staff and families
  • Contribute to a supportive and inclusive learning environment
  • Supervise Assistant Psychologists where appropriate

    We are seeking a skilled professional who is passionate about making a difference in the lives of young people., HCPC-registered Practitioner Psychologist
  • Postgraduate qualification in Psychology
  • Experience working with children and young people with autism and complex needs
  • Background in educational, clinical, or care settings
  • Strong collaborative and communication skills
  • Commitment to evidence-based practice
  • Desirable:
  • Experience supervising Assistant Psychologists
  • Experience working within multidisciplinary teams

    Salary: £33,952.77 - £39,366.78 (actual salary)Hours: 24 hours per week (3 days, to be discussed at interview)Contract: Permanent, Term Time Only (44.67 paid weeks)Location: Specialist education setting (South Gloucestershire)
