We are creating a new senior leadership role within Remote Patient Care to help shape the future of how we deliver safe, compassionate and effective care for our patients. As Remote Patient Care Clinical Operations Manager, you will bring significant operational leadership experience to a pivotal role that enables our clinical teams to deliver their very best-by ensuring they have the right people, the right equipment and the right processes in place, every day. This role is about putting patients first while caring for and supporting the clinical workforce that serves them. You will provide leadership across remote patient care clinical operations, with a strong focus on workforce capacity, operational readiness and continuous improvement, ensuring care is delivered efficiently, consistently and with kindness. Working as part of the Remote Care Senior Leadership Team, you will collaborate closely with colleagues and stakeholders across the organisation, helping to shape services, strengthen relationships and foster an inclusive, supportive culture where staff feel valued and empowered. Together, you will drive improvements that make a real difference to patient experience, staff wellbeing and service outcomes. If you are a compassionate, credible and values-driven operational leader who wants to help shape a growing and innovative area of care, this is a unique opportunity to leave a lasting impact., This is a senior leadership role within Remote Patient care managing effective delivery of the Remote Patient care clinical function. As well as having oversight of day-to-day delivery, the Clinical Operations Manager will be accountable for planning ahead to ensure that operational effectiveness is ongoing. Support will also be given to the Deputy Head of EOC in ensuring continuous improvement and implementation of strategic plans. The postholder will be a registered Clinician with significant experience in remote Care Clinical Operations. This will include in depth knowledge of remote triage systems, CAD and Telephony systems alongside the nuances of remote clinical assessment. They will also have knowledge of capacity planning and scheduling to ensure strategic oversight of the remote Care clinical workforce ensuring it is able to respond to the changing initiatives and demand patterns. A key part of this role will be providing day to day leadership and supervision to Clinical Duty Managers, ensuring they have the support and resources to effectively carry out their role. The Clinical Operations Manager will also be required to undertake the role of on-call Tactical Commander across control rooms, providing cross cover for other On Call Commanders as needed. The Clinical Operations Manager will champion the development, implementation and maintenance of a safe, professional and inclusive clinical Processes, fostering team engagement and effective communication both within the team and wider Trust, promoting openness and inclusivity at all times. The Clinical Operations Manager will be accountable for all performance targets and quality standards for the designated area of responsibility, both operationally and clinically at local and national levels. Proactive engagement with a range of internal and external stakeholders will be crucial to the role in managing incidents as they arise and for effective longer-term planning such as pathway development, implementing system change and the identification of challenges to the Ambulance Service and formulating potential solutions.
