Full Job Description
There is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated practitioner to join the Cancer Clinical Nurse Specialists as a Clinical Nurse Specialist (Band 7) on a 1 year Fixed term contract to cover Maternity leave. You will be fully supported within your role and there will be enormous opportunities for you to advance and develop your knowledge, skills and confidence when caring for patients with cancer., The purpose of the post is to manage and provide expert specialist clinical practice for both outpatient and inpatients (NHS and private patients). The CNS should be leading in the use of evidence based clinical practise in line with current research, guidelines and other available evidence. You should ensure that patients and their families are fully informed about their journey through the service (dependant on speciality). Utilise other members of the MDT when required to increase knowledge and skills to ensure delivery of reliable high quality care. You will work autonomously, coordinating patient care and supporting patients with sarcoma and patients with metastatic disease requiring orthopaedic surgery.
