Consultant Clinical Health Psychologist / Neuropsychologist. Divisional director of clinical health & neuropsychology Services- Adults' Specialist Rehabilitation (ASR) Birmingham Community Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Consultant Clinical Health Psychologist or a Neuropsychologist to take on the role of Divisional Health Psychology Lead within our Adults' Specialist Rehabilitation (ASR) division and our Adults Community Division. This is an exciting senior leadership post at the heart of BCHC's Future Operating Model, offering the opportunity to shape person-centred, psychologically informed clinical health and rehabilitation across a diverse range of specialist services. About the Role You will provide strategic and professional leadership for psychology across ASR, covering: oNeurological rehabilitation (Level 1b inpatients)oStroke inpatient and outpatient servicesoAcquired Brain Injury pathwaysoSpecialist neurological clinicsoMSK/pain servicesoChild & adult amputee servicesoWeight-management servicesoOther clinical health long term conditions You will lead a skilled and supportive psychology workforce, work closely with divisional senior leadership, and contribute to service transformation, staff wellbeing, and high-quality psychological governance.,

• The post holder will be responsible for strategic planning, organisational development, professional management and overall professional delivery of all psychology service provision in conjunction with the Divisional Leadership Team across ASR.
• To be the Psychology and Psychological Therapies professional lead and advisor and Lead Consultant Psychologist for ASR Divisional services, ensuring the delivery of psychological governance strategies across ASR services.
• To be professionally accountable for existing Psychology and Psychological Therapy services and ensuring the delivery of safe, high quality psychological governance strategies across ASR services and represent the service within senior management and commissioning forums.
  
  We are looking for an experienced, forward-thinking Clinical Neuropsychologist and or a clinical health psychologist with strong leadership skills, a passion for person-centred clinical health/ rehabilitation, and a commitment to innovation and service development.
You will have A Doctorate in Clinical Psychology, HCPC registration, preferably specialist clinical health and or neuropsychology training, with eligibility for the neuropsychology register and significant postqualification experience. Advanced expertise in complex clinical health or neuropsychological assessment and intervention, alongside strong skills in communication, research, consultation, and supervision. Proven leadership, resilience, and a track record of service development, clinical governance, and supporting teams in high-pressure environments.,
• Post-graduate doctoral level training in clinical psychology (or its equivalent for those trained prior to 1996) as accredited by the BPS including specifically models of psychopathology, clinical psychometrics and neuropsychology, two or more distinct psychological therapies and lifespan developmental psychology
• Registered with the HCPC
• Post-doctoral training in one or more additional specialised areas of psychological practice. Including neuropsychology
• Eligible for inclusion on the specialist register for neuropsychology., Assessed extensive experience of working as a registered clinical psychologist, including extensive post qualification experience within the designated speciality where the post is located.
• Experience of working with a wide variety of client groups, across the life course presenting with a full range of clinical severity across a range of care settings ( outpatient, community, primary care, in-patient and residential care) including maintaining a high degree of professionalism in the face of highly emotive and distressing problems, verbal abuse and the threat of physical abuse.
• Experience of exercising full clinical responsibility for clients' psychological care and treatment, within the context of a multi-disciplinary care plan and team., Doctoral level knowledge of clinical psychology including highly developed knowledge of lifespan developmental psychology, models of psychopathology, clinical psychometrics and neuropsychology, and two or more distinct psychological therapies.
• Skills in the use of complex methods of psychological assessment intervention and management frequently requiring sustained and intense concentration.
• A high level ability to communicate effectively at both a written and oral level complex, highly technical and clinically sensitive information to clients, their families, carers and a wide range of lay and professional persons within and outside the NHS.
• Skills in the use of complex methods of psychological assessment intervention and management frequently requiring sustained and intense concentration.
• Doctoral level knowledge of research design and methodology, including complex multivariate data analysis as practiced within the field of clinical psychology.
• Knowledge of legislation in relation to the client groups
• Highly developed knowledge of the theory and practice of highly specialised psychological therapies and assessment methodologies.
