Main duties of the job

Maintain own professional registration and practice within the respective professional body's code of conduct.

Provide visible, accessible and authoritative presence and leadership within the specialty's wider Group.Champion professional practice standards across areas of responsibility and performance manage against them.

Work closely with the Service Managers and Specialty Leads as required to support development in service to enhance patient management and experience.Provide direct support and supervision to a designated group of Ward / Department Sisters and Charge Nurses, ensuring that they are empowered and skilled in clinical practice and decision making.

Support and monitor the development of new non-medical clinical workforce roles to advance practice and facilitate the delivery of high-quality patient care.With the Senior Nursing and Midwifery Team, lead the development of and support the implementation of the Trust's Nursing Midwifery and Allied Health Professional Vision across area of responsibility and be an effective member of Senior Leadership Group.Support the Divisional Head of Nursing to undertake and monitor the implementation of all Quality and Patient Safety Strategies into areas of responsibility within own Division.Play an active role as a member of the Trusts' Senior Nursing, Midwifery and AHP team, contributing to the development and implementation of the professional agenda Trust-wide.
