Full Job Description
The Clinical Lead for the Psychosis Pathway is a senior clinician responsible for providing day-to-day clinical leadership across adult community mental health psychosis services. The postholder will ensure the delivery of safe, effective, and high-quality care to service users and their families, while supporting staff development and driving continuous service improvement. The role involves leading clinical decision-making, overseeing the delivery of evidence-based interventions, and maintaining strong multidisciplinary and partnership working to improve outcomes for people experiencing psychosis.
- Provideclinical leadership and directionacross the psychosis pathway
- Support and develop staff throughclinical supervision, guidance, and training
- Ensure the delivery ofhigh-quality, evidence-based (NICE concordant) interventions
- Lead onclinical decision-making, including complex case discussions and care planning
- Overseerisk assessments, safety planning, and safeguarding practices
- Coordinate care to ensuretimely, safe, and effective service delivery
- Work collaboratively withservice users, families, and partner organisations
- Contribute toservice development, quality improvement, and clinical governance
- Maintain high standards ofclinical record-keeping and compliance with policies, Provide clinical leadership and supervision to a multidisciplinary team, supporting high-quality, evidence-based care for people experiencing psychosis. Lead clinical discussions, oversee assessment, care planning, and risk management, and ensure compliance with the Mental Health Act, safeguarding, and Trust policies. Coordinate and prioritise care delivery, support staff development, and contribute to recruitment, performance management, and team effectiveness. Maintain high standards of clinical record keeping and governance. Contribute to service development by supporting quality improvement, reviewing pathways and protocols, monitoring outcomes, and engaging with service users, carers, and partners. Act as a role model, promoting professional standards, continuous improvement, and collaborative team working, while maintaining own professional development.
