This is a rare and exciting opportunity for an experienced Physiotherapist to lead the future development of Stroke services at York. As Clinical Lead Physiotherapist, you will have the unique opportunity to influence service transformation, drive innovation across the stroke pathway and ensure the delivery of high-quality, evidence-based care that meets national standards and responds to the recommendations of recent a stroke peer review and national stroke strategy priorities. We are looking for someone with a good grounding in the four pillars, who will be able to provide expert clinical leadership , driving excellence in patient care and supporting the continued development of our highly regarded stroke services. Based primarily in York you will be collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and regional partners to ensure the highest standards of stroke rehabilitation and recovery. - Provide visible clinical leadership across stroke services, ensuring safe, effective and evidence-based physiotherapy practice.
- Autonomously manage a highly complex caseload of stroke patients across the pathway.
- Lead the evaluation of clinical quality, patient outcomes and service performance.
- Use highly specialist stroke rehabilitation skills to assess, treat and advise patients with complex neurological presentations.
- Promote and embed evidence-based practice aligned to national stroke standards and guidance.
- Deliver training, supervision and support to Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, Therapy Support Workers, students and wider MDT colleagues.
- Create a culture of learning, reflection and professional development.
- Lead and contribute to audit, research and quality improvement projects.
- Influence service redesign and innovation across stroke rehabilitation services.

We would encourage you to speak to the recruiting manager named within this advert to discuss any requirements you may have., Experience in specialist role, including the management of a range of specialist conditions, with substantial evidence of additional knowledge acquired through formal and informal clinical supervision
- Evidence of ability to lead and act as an authority on the management of complex clinical presentations in specialist area
- Significant experience of delivering clinical treatment within specialist area Desirable
- Experienced in the identification and use of outcome measures to evaluate clinical treatment
- Significant experience of training/supporting others (including students) within specialist clinical area
HCPC Registered Physiotherapist - Evidence of relevant structured CPD activities, Post graduate qualification relevant to role and clinical specialty
- Evidence of significant post graduate training within amputees, Able to communicate complex information effectively, clearly, and accurately in plain simple language, both verbally and in writing.
- Committed to development and improvement of myself and the wider team.
- Use own initiative, exercise judgement, resolve problems and stay calm under pressure.
