Clinical Lead Physiotherapist - Children and Young People

The Band 7 Clinical Lead Physiotherapist provides clinical, professional and operational leadership within the Children and Young People's Physiotherapy Service. The post holder is responsible for delivering a highly specialist physiotherapy service to children and young people with a range of developmental, neurological, musculoskeletal and long-term conditions, ensuring care is evidence based, safe and person centred. The Clinical Lead is responsible for supporting the delivery of service objectives, quality improvement initiatives, clinical governance and professional standards across the service. They provide clinical leadership and expert advice to physiotherapy colleagues and the wider multidisciplinary team, supporting the development of best practice and consistent service delivery. The role is based in Carmarthenshire, Wales' largest county, offering a unique mix of vibrant towns, rural communities and beautiful coastline. • Providing clinical and professional leadership within specialist paediatric physiotherapy services.
• Developing and maintaining high standards of evidence-based practice.
• Supporting the development of physiotherapists and support staff through training, supervision and learning.
• Working collaboratively with children, young people, families, education providers and partner agencies to improve outcomes and service delivery.
• Providing specialist advice and support for children and young people with complex needs.
• Leading quality improvement, audit, governance and service development activities.
• Managing a complex clinical caseload, delivering specialist assessment, intervention and evaluation.
• Supporting staff and student development through supervision, mentoring and appraisal.
• Contributing to the strategic development of Children's Physiotherapy Services.
  
  This role is ideal for an experienced paediatric physiotherapist who is passionate about improving outcomes for children and young people and driving innovation within community physiotherapy services.
  
  As a key specialist within the Children's Physiotherapy Service, you will play a leading role in delivering high-quality physiotherapy care for children and young people across Hywel Dda University Health Board. This is an exciting opportunity to influence service development, provide clinical leadership and support workforce development within a multidisciplinary team., Hywel Dda University Health Board plans and provides NHS healthcare services for people living in Carmarthenshire, Ceredigion, Pembrokeshire, and bordering counties.
We have over 13,000 staff and together we provide primary, community, in-hospital, mental health and learning disabilities services. We work in partnership with the three local authorities, as well as public, private and third sector colleagues, including our valued team of volunteers. Our services are provided in:
• Four main hospitals: Bronglais Hospital in Aberystwyth; Glangwili Hospital in Carmarthen; Prince Philip Hospital in Llanelli; and Withybush Hospital in Haverfordwest
