Applications for this position are invited from HCPC Registered Podiatrists with the relevant experience looking for the opportunity to enhance their career in leadership within the Podiatry Profession.
The MSK Podiatry Clinical Lead post is a valued member of the Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board (CTMUHB) Podiatry and Orthotics Services leadership Team. This role is pivotal to strengthen the team whilst the service goes through transformational change.
The successful candidate will be responsible for MSK Services. They will provide operational and professional leadership to the clinical team, ensuring delivery of an equitable service. Initially, service scope will be Rhondda & Taff Ely CBC and Merthyr Cynon CBC with Bridgend CBC residents transferring in the coming years. The role will require the identification of need, evaluation of priorities and embedding performance management to ensure delivery in line with the Governance, MSK Standards, Prudent and Value Based Healthcare Principles.
The successful applicant will work closely with the Clinical Lead in Orthotics. The post holder will support the development and delivery of our service who has users who require seamless care across two professions simultaneously., The post holder will be accountable for the delivery of the CTMUHB wide Musculoskeletal service and through collaborative working with health and social care partners identify the Podiatric needs within the CTMUHB Population and plan approaches to deliver. Hold responsibility for the performance of the MSK service and workforce development, conveying strategic and operation information to the MSK workforce.
Lead on projects, clinical audit and Quality Improvement for the Musculosketeal service. Working with the Podiatric & Orthotic Services Manager to project manage the tasks and delegate accordingly to MSK Team clinicians as appropriate.
Be the public facing representative for CTMUHB Podiatry Musculoskeletal Services. Negotiating, persuading, motivating and providing information in an appropriate form to general public, partners and stakeholders as well as service users., Welsh Skills Desirable: This post is advertised as Welsh Desirable. This doesn't mean essential; whilst the candidate doesn't need to have skills in Welsh, we'll consider it an advantage when short-listing and selecting candidates. This isn't 'fluency', just Speaking & Listening skills at Level 3 (equivalent to CEFR B2) or above. Level 3 means basic conversations with patients about their everyday health.
