Full Job Description

o To assist the General Medicine Therapy Team Lead by acting as the lead clinician and Deputy Team Lead, supporting with the organisation, co-ordination, delivery and evaluation of the therapy service delivered on Sheldon ward, working with the current Team Lead by ensuring communication and team working to ensure consistency of management and effective coordination of therapy service provision on Sheldon ward.o To take a lead role in the advanced assessment and treatment of general medicine patients where patients have varied and often complex presentations with comorbidities o To determine clinical diagnosis, develop and implement effective treatment plans.o To undertake a clinical caseload and treat to a high professional standard using specialist knowledge from theoretical and practical experience to patients with complex physical and psychological conditions.o To provide clinical leadership to all members of the therapy teamo To deputise for the General Medicine Therapy Team lead
in their absence

We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated and suitably experienced Occupational Therapist or Physiotherapist to join our General Medicine Therapy team, as a Clinical Lead and Deputy Team Lead.

This is a part time role, working days will need to be Thursday and Friday to meet service need, but hours can be discussed.

The post holder will hold a clinical caseload as a registered Occupational Therapist or Physiotherapist that is appropriate to their knowledge, skills and experience. The post holder must have NHS work experience.

The post holder will require excellent team working skills to lead the team and also work as part of the multi-disciplinary team. Flexibility in your approach is expected, all teams collaborate across the service and support each other in delivering the best possible service to our patients from our available resources in line with our Trust values of caring for patients, staff and finances.
